Client card:
Client cards are a system to connect customers. They are either personalised or transferable. The customer receives with the entry a card of plastic (normally PVC) which can contain, besides, also a magnetic stripe with deposited data.

Enterprises issue charge cards to their customers to bind them in the longer term to the enterprise, to analyze the purchase behaviour and to provide customer profiles by the stored transaction data. By showing the card the customer receives benefits in money's worth, additional achievements or other benefits.
Client cards are various, they can have one or several functions after which also its name is directed:

Bonus cards, e.g., frequent flyer's programs of the airlines and their alliances, the programs of the hotel chains or the cards of trade

CityCards, union of several enterprises on site as for example the advertising communities which spend a common client card

Access cards, for example, for automatic vido-tape libraries

Client cards with payment function, e.g., at airlines a credit card which is at the same time also a client card
